This week,
it was Climate Action Week. 3rd Class listened to the story ‘Greta
and the Giants’. They predicted about the story and the children thought about
how they would help Greta and the Giants by drawing their response to the story.
On Monday and Tuesday, 3rd Class were joined by some pupils from 6th class to help us play Maths games, for Maths Week. 3rd Class really enjoyed listening to and explaining their answers to 6th class. 6th class completed the games in stations so we had a wide range of games.
Also for Maths week, 3rd Class learned about fractions and breaking a pizza into fractions. Each child split their pizza into fractions and we ordered them in order of the smallest as a whole class. Well done everyone!
On Friday 20th, 3rd Class also visited the local library to celebrate Children’s Book Festival. The children met author, Richie Conroy and they explored how to be an author by creating their own characters! The children had a great time.
