- We’ve been having great fun learning about the Chinese New Year. We made lanterns, learned a song, made lucky envelopes with money inside and ate noodles with chopsticks.
- We’ve been playing games as Gaelige - which has been fun and it has helped us to improve our Irish also.
- Shoe Laces - well done for all the hard work on learning to tie laces! You’re all doing great! Lovely to see some children started teaching each other once they had mastered it themselves.

🎄 🎄 🎄 Santa came today and he gave us a Christmas annual. We have been busy rehearsing for the play and had a great dress rehearsal last week.
🎄We have also been sewing Christmas stockings and they look great. We are very proud of our work.
- STEM project. We created a PACMAC style game using lego and Magnets
- Children entered at 'Anseo' school attendance poster competition
🎄 We kicked off the Christmas season today by decorating our classroom door. We made vegetable soup with Christine and the kids all had a taste and many went back for more! Well done!! 🎄
We had a fun day today in 2nd Class. We went on a trip to the Library. We were so good there Ms Daly, Christine, Rose and Ryan (our TY student) brought us into Tesco to shop for hot chocolate, treats and ingredients for vegetable soup. Fr Adrian called down from the roof of the church to go in and visit the new Christmas Tree. Ms Smyth joined us to help us learn how to add two digit numbers. Well done everyone.
Here are some photos from our busy few weeks.
- The theme in Gaeilge is Bia (food) so we read the story of Goldilocks and had some delicious porridge (leite)!
- Garda Kevin came down from Ballyfermot Garda station for a visit.
- Last week was Science Week so we joined with 6th Class for some experiments
- We finished up our week with a Pyjama Party. Well done everyone!
